When he started working in the Ole Miss press box at age 13, Philip Tate could not have imagined what would follow, even in his wildest dreams. While a student at Vanderbilt, he ran media operations for the NCAA basketball tournament at age 20. His first full-time job as a publications editor resulted in Best in the Nation recognition. He assumed the reins of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine – the bible of football publications in the Lone Star State – when he was 24 years old. He later became the youngest person ever to run the NCAA Final Four Basketball Tournament when it arrived in Charlotte.

During a long award-winning career in public relations and integrated marketing communications, he has practically done it all, making PURPLE drywall known to viewers on HGTV and DIY Network and rebranding everything from law firms and car dealerships to nonprofits and universities. From organizing media tours and trade shows to conducting communications audits and developing multimillion dollar campaigns, Philip has helped clients achieve their business objectives and look good at the same time. And he does it all with compassion and a refined sense of humor.
