Chris Vaccaro
Chris Vaccaro is a strategic and crisis communications manager with nearly 25 years of experience in the newsroom, public affairs, media relations and internal communications. He is skilled in executive-level communications, strategic rollouts, internal communications for employees and external communications for stakeholders. Chris is currently the communications director at NOAA’s National Weather Service in Silver Spring, MD where he develops and executes communication strategies to promote the people, products and policies of the National Weather Service internally with the agency’s workforce and externally with the public and stakeholders. Chris previously served as the senior media relations specialist at NOAA headquarters in Washington, DC, and as public affairs director at NOAA’s National Weather Service. He also served as a senior communications advisor in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.
