Steve Weiss
Steve joined the American Heart Association in September 2018. As National Vice President, Advocacy Communications, he oversees strategic communications efforts in support of Association’s federal advocacy campaigns, and he and his team provide counsel and technical assistance in support of campaigns at the state and community levels. Steve previously served as the patient advocacy lead on the Washington, D.C.-based Health team at Edelman public relations, and he led the media advocacy efforts of the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) for more than 10 years. He was raised in Los Angeles County and attended the University of California, Davis and Santa Clara University Law School.
