Tareia Williams Lee
Tareia Williams Lee is vice president, strategic brand and talent communications for TNT Sports. In this role, she is responsible for communications activities and execution of publicity campaigns for TNT Sports tentpole events (MLB Postseason, NHL Opening Night, NCAA March Madness) and signature on-air talent. Additionally, she’s a central figure in brand storytelling on behalf of TNT Sports’ properties including the launch of premium sports content on streaming and expanded offerings on the company’s linear networks.
Tareia also works to raise awareness among students interested in sports careers through ENGAGE. ENGAGE is an internal resource group established in 2020 that nurtures the entry-level pipeline by creating opportunities for diverse college students to become the next generation working in sports. These opportunities include the Engage Summit, Lift Every Voice Fellowship and more.
Tareia was named as one of the 2024 CableFAx Most Powerful Woman, 2023 Cynopsis Top Women in Media list and Rolling Out Magazine’s 2015 list of Top 25 Women in Atlanta. Tareia serves as president of the Sports Task Force of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ). She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Tareia earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in mass media communications with a concentration in public relations from Clark Atlanta University (CAU).
