Lauren Paige Woulard

Lauren Paige Woulard is a talented publicist and communications executive, with a passion for diversity in the entertainment industry, women empowerment and multicultural marketing. Most recently, she served as Director, Communications at SHOWTIME / MTV Entertainment Studios for four years, where she led press strategy for several Paramount brands such as: SHOWTIME, MTV, Comedy Central, CMT and Paramount+. Lauren was also in charge of many of the department’s music programming and tentpole awards shows, such as: MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), CMT Music Awards, Behind the Music, MTV Unplugged and more. During her tenure at Paramount, she oversaw publicity for Lena Waithe’s hit Series, The Chi, which soared to its best and most-record breaking season (7) under her guidance and campaign strategy.
Prior to joining Paramount, she held leadership roles at preeminent entertainment PR agencies such as: The Chamber Group, where she was instrumental in the promotional success of then client Jon Batiste’s album ‘WE ARE’, which won Album of the Year at the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards, as well as One/35 Agency and more. Her resume includes creating and executing PR campaigns for clients such as: OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, Amazon Studios, Warner Brothers, Disney, Netflix, 20th Century Fox, FX Networks, FOX Entertainment, NBCUniversal, etc. She has also cultivated an extensive knowledge of managing tentpole events and festivals, having also implemented press strategy for GRAMMY Awards, BET Experience, ComplexCon, Essence Music Festival and New York Fashion Week to name a few. She spent two years in Atlanta at Allied Global Marketing as the Multicultural Publicity Lead for Atlanta + Southeast regions, executing high-level press tours and field campaigns for major projects including: Hidden Figures, Fences, Almost Christmas, Suicide Squad and more.
Before her work in the world of film and television, she led talent and media relations for Procter & Gamble' s 'My Black is Beautiful' program at award-winning integrated marketing agency, Egami Group. Her career began as a luxury fashion publicist with legendary fashion houses Cartier and Dolce & Gabbana. In addition to her PR work, she lends her time to mentoring the next generation of entertainment + media professionals, working with programs like Gyrl Wonder and SHOWTIME / MTV Entertainment Studios Storytellers’ Lab. She is a sought-after public speaker, lending her time to conferences such as Digital Summit Series, Florida Public Relations Association, University of South Florida, HBCU Kings + Queens Conference, Black Girls in Media Conference, Grind Pretty Fest and more.
Lauren earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Howard University, and is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. She was named a 2024 Distinguished Communicator of Color by Diversity Action Alliance, and a 2022 ‘Rising Tide’ on the Cablefax Most Powerful Women in Media list.
