EDI on Campus: Making Systemic Change

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion have been part of the campus discussion for  years, but the COVID-19 pandemic and the tragic deaths of George Floyd and many others, have  illuminated the systemic inequities that have created unequal playing fields for people of color, women, and other minoritized groups in our country.

Mary Ann Villareal, Vice President for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at the University of Utah, and Shaun Harper, Provost Professor in the Rossier School of Education and the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, discuss enacting systemic change on campus, gaining consensus within a divided campus community, and navigating the hard and important work of creating a more just and equitable society.
