2015 PRSA Ethics Month Activities
September is Ethics Awareness Month at PRSA. This year’s theme is Ethics Every Day. To quote a member of the PRSA Board of Ethics and Professional Standards (BEPS) members, “If you don’t live and breathe ethics in your public relations career on a daily basis, you may overlook inauspicious ethical missteps that can later breed disaster.”
Among the many activities planned at the national level will be a series of PRSAY blog posts written by BEPS members and industry leaders, a special “Thought Leadership” contribution for our colleagues in the International Public Relations Association, tweet chats that are open to any and all public relations professionals (and students) across the globe, webinars, and a series of cooperative efforts with PRSSA. You can also brush up on your ethics knowledge with PRSA's ethics resources.
Below is a listing of PRSA's 2015 Ethics Month activities. You can join the Ethics Month conversation on social media by using the hashtag #PREthics, writing blog posts and other commentary focusing on ethical tenets in public relations for your own personal channels and organizing ethics programs for your PRSA chapter, district or section.
Ethical Standards Advisory Release
PRSA's Board of Ethics and Professional Standards will be releasing a new Ethical Standards Advisory (September 2015).
