May 11–13 | Dallas
Submission Deadline: 11:59 p.m. EST on Friday, Nov. 13, 2015
Be a part of the PRSA Connect 16 Conference, an event with outstanding networking opportunities and targeted employee/internal communications programming.
Connect 16 will be held May 11–13 at the Marriott Dallas City Center. This conference is focused on bringing together employee communications experts to offer new understanding, ideas and skills for planning and executing internal communications in today’s growing economy and rapidly changing business environment.
Please submit all information to our online form no later than 11:59 p.m. EST on Friday, Nov. 13, 2015. Applicants will be notified of final selections via email by late December.
Session proposals should outline 40–45-minute sessions, which can be presented by an individual or panel of experts. Another presentation format currently being considered are 30-minute quick talks from no more than two presenters.
Please submit an innovative and compelling presentation proposal supporting this year’s theme, “Big Challenges. Bright Ideas.” and is related specifically to employee communications.
Presentations must be targeted to mid- to senior-level employee communications professionals. The strategies and practical applications in your proposal can focus on both traditional and new forms of communication outreach as they pertain to internal communications — whether social media, publications, intranets, strategy, planning, measurement, leadership communication, benefits communication or employee engagement. Previous feedback indicates that conference attendees are very interested in these focus areas.
All presentations must be detailed, thoughtful and able to provide attendees with knowledge and tools they can implement in their practice.
Proposals may be submitted by public relations/communications professionals or educators, including individuals from large corporations, agencies, business consultants, nonprofit institutions and government agencies.
Agency proposals should include a client case study, with the client included in the actual presentation, if possible. Presentations from agencies, research providers, consultants, etc., will be considered only if they are unbiased, educational, informative and innovative. Pitches for a specific commercial service or product will not be considered.
In lieu of a proposed session, potential speakers may be invited to participate in general panel sessions.
Please be sure to provide complete contact details for references. Failing to do so may result in the disqualification of your speaker proposal.
PRSA does not pay for expenses, such as hotel and airfare, nor offer speaker stipends. Speakers will receive a complimentary conference registration, which includes access to all general sessions and basic meal functions (a $700+ value).
Speaker presentations will be posted online for conference attendees. Participation in the conference conveys to PRSA the right to use imagery, content, presentations, etc., for promotional purposes.
Several targeted sponsorship opportunities are available. Prospective sponsors should connect with Richard Spector, PRSA director of corporate development and industry partnerships, via email/(212) 460-0301.
