The PR profession is built on imagination, agility and the ability to generate sharp ideas at a moment’s notice. Yet, more than ever, creative energy is in short supply. 

With U.S. adults consuming more than 12 hours of media per day, our minds are overstimulated but under-inspired. PR professionals are also reporting staggering burnout rates with 91% saying their mental health has been impacted, and nearly half have left roles because of stress.

Our brains are overloaded, our schedules are relentless and the constant pressure to “come up with something fresh” can feel impossible.

Traditional brainstorming isn’t the problem, rather it’s the static way we’ve been doing it. Sitting around a table, staring at a screen or wrestling with a blank notepad rarely produces breakthrough thinking. Our minds crave activation. They crave variety. And, critically, they crave movement.
