GEO for PR: How To Get Your Brand Named in AI Answers (Without Touching Code)

February 3, 5 & 10, 2026 from 3–5 p.m. EST

A hands-on, nontechnical workshop that shows PR professionals how AI systems form answers — and how to use GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) to place credible facts where models actually look. We’ll use the Three Pillars of GEO (On-Page awareness, Off-Page trust and Monitoring) to turn coverage, Wikipedia, directories, reviews and community participation into signals AI can recognize and cite, while keeping technical SEO to simple, actionable handoffs for your web team.

Schedule

 February 3

Session 1: Foundations: How AI and GEO Work for PR

 Learning objectives:

  • Explain — in plain English — how models learn, work and surface answers, and why coverage becomes training data that influences whether you get named in AI results.
  • Identify PR-owned levers across GEO’s Three Pillars (e.g., media, Wikipedia, Knowledge Graph, directories, reviews and lightweight collaboration with SEO).
  • Define one business-relevant “money question” your brand should be named for and list credible outlets/sources that support notability.
  • Recognize a few on-page basics (clear headers, descriptive image alt text, FAQ structure) so you can brief web teams without doing technical work yourself.

February 5

Session 2: Activation: PR Actions That Create AI-Trusted Signals

 Learning objectives:

  • Craft a short, data-led pitch to high crawl outlets and reuse resulting placements as training data for AI-driven answers.
  • Prepare a neutral Wikipedia update plan with independent sources and a watchlist approach to maintain accuracy and notability signals.
  • Ensure NAP consistency across priority directories (Google, Apple, Bing, Yelp) and understand how these citations support Knowledge Panels and brand disambiguation.
  • Draft helpful, nonpromotional Reddit/Quora answers aligned to your money question to seed credible discussions models may reference.

February 10

Session 3: Proof and Crisis: Measure Impact and Manage Reputation in the AI Era

 Learning objectives:

  • Baseline and remeasure brand recognition with LLMtel and track whether you’re named in the answer for your money question(s).
  • Connect AI/assistant referrals and branded search to outcomes using Search Console/Analytics examples to tell a clear placements → visibility → outcomes story.
  • Run a simple weekly GEO loop — measure → place → measure — using the “Prove PR’s Value in One Day” playbook adapted for ongoing reporting.
  • Execute a crisis response using knowledge-graph reshaping: Place corrective facts on authoritative nodes (news, expert sites, Wikipedia, directories) and coordinate with SEO on crawl access if needed.
