Chart-topping country music star, trailblazing entertainer and current Grammy nominee Jimmie Allen will be a keynote speaker at this year's Travel and Tourism Section Conference in Spokane, Wash., May 22-25, 2022.
The simple phrase, “Never give up,” sums up Allen's view on life. A native of southern Delaware, Allen has carried that mantra with him through good times and bad — from living in his car to winning CMA New Artist of the Year & ACM New Male Artist of the Year in 2021 and earning his first Grammy nomination for Best New Artist this year.
He’s traveled the world using his platform at every turn — not just through his lyrics in front of sold-out audiences, but also by authoring a children’s book, "My Voice Is a Trumpet," and speaking on the importance of leadership, hope and compassion; the urgent need for diverse voices; destigmatizing discussions of mental health; and exemplifying the power of being authentically yourself.
Allen, whose hit songs include "Freedom Was a Highway," “Best Shot,” and “Make Me Want To,” will break it all down with his inspiring and thought-provoking stories.Keynote Speaker

Q. Do I need to rent a car while in Spokane?
A. No. The only transportation you will need to cover on your own is the 15-minute drive from the Spokane airport to Grand Davenport. We recommend Uber or Lyft. Everything else will be within walking
distance or transportation will be provided to attendees.
Q. What COVID safety protocols are in place?
A. PRSA's Travel & Tourism Spring Conference is scheduled to be held at the Spokane Convention Center in Spokane, Washington and will be subject to the COVID-19 protocols, guidelines, laws and regulations of the State of Washington and the City of Spokane. As the situation evolves, these orders are subject to change and can be found here here and here. We ask that all attendees frequently monitor them.
The best way to have a successful gathering in these times is to commit to keeping each other safe! Please monitor your health and use all precautions to protect everyone in our community. We encourage attendees to get vaccinated if they can and wear masks when in large crowds. If you test positive for COVID-19, are feeling symptomatic, are required to quarantine, or have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19 or been exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms in the lead up to the event and need to stay home, we will be flexible on the cancellation policy for these reasons.
Q. What is covered within my conference registration?
A. Registration includes access to all PRSA Travel & Tourism Conference sessions, excluding the Pre-Con Workshops on Sunday, May 22nd. Those are an additional cost. A breakfast and lunch meal
is included during the keynote or all-session gatherings. Food and drink will be provided during the evening receptions. And, thanks to our sponsors, afternoon refreshments and snacks will also be available throughout the conference.
Q. What is the lending library?
A. Every year we head attendees ask each other, “are you still printing marketing collateral or visitor guides?” So, this year, we’re setting up a lending library and asking attendees to bring 1-2 pieces of collateral that comes from
their shop. Bring some, take some. Everything left remaining will be recycled in Spokane’s Garbage Goat.
Q. Will I be receiving a hard copy program schedule ahead of conference?
A. For the first-time ever, the PRSA Travel & Tourism Section conference is going paperless and there’s no better destination than sustainable Spokane to push us in
this direction. Attendees will need to access the Whova platform on their phones to view the most up-to-date conference schedule. On this platform, you’ll also be able to interact with fellow attendees, travel media, sponsors, and more.
