Applications Open for PRSA’s 2024 Board of Directors on April 3

Applications will be accepted  for the 2024 PRSA Board of Directors beginning on Monday, April 3, and will be accepted through Friday, May 12. PRSA is seeking candidates to fill three Officer positions as well as Director positions for 5 Districts and one Director-At-Large position.

Serving as stewards of the organization, Board members bring a range of specialized expertise to their roles and responsibilities, which include serving as a representative  of PRSA; providing resources, knowledge and guidance; and leadership experience as proactive agenda setters, advocates, mentors and decision-makers.

Officer (one-year term)

  • Chair-elect
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary

Director (two-year term)

  • Midwest District
  • North Pacific District
  • Southeast District
  • Southwest District
  • Sunshine District
  • Director-At-Large

Director Eligibility

  • Accredited in Public Relations (APR)
  • Member of PRSA in good standing and have at least one of the following:

    Experience in a leadership role within the Society including but not limited to service as a member of a Chapter, District or Section board of directors, chair of a national or local committee or task force, or service as an Assembly delegate.

    OR

    Experience as a public relations or communication professional for 20 or more years, with increasing levels of responsibility.

    Director-At-Large Eligibility

  • Member of PRSA in good standing and have at least one of the following:

Experience in a leadership role within the Society including but not limited to service as a member of a Chapter, District or Section board of directors, chair of a national or local committee or task force, or service as an Assembly delegate.

OR

Experience as a public relations or communication professional for 20 or more years, with increasing levels of responsibility.

Officer Eligibility

  • Must have served on PRSA’s Board of Directors.
  • Must meet criteria required of a District Director.
  • Currently serving Directors may seek Officer positions.
