Originally from the United Kingdom, Tom Cullen joined the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication faculty in 2018 where he specializes in teaching advanced public relations communication. Cullen also assumes the roles of program manager to the Crisis Communication Coalition and advisor to the Cox International Center’s Communication and Media Fellows Program, both housed at the University of Georgia.

Recognized as the Grady College “Public Relations Teacher of the Year” in 2021, Cullen adopts a holistic approach to teaching real-world PR skills. In addition to fostering the development of quality public relations writing, public speaking and professional internal communications, Cullen recently initiated a cutting-edge college-level writing program that integrates public relations trends with generative artificial intelligence.

Beyond the classroom, Cullen serves as an affiliate consultant with TG Consultancy. Focusing on organizational and executive development, he has worked with clients across multiple private and public sector organizations. As well as elevating internal and external communication strategies in collaboration with C-suite leaders, Cullen provides bespoke high-impact coaching to practitioners and burgeoning leaders.
