June 16, 2021 12:30 p.m. – 1:25 p.m.

So much of food media is really travel media – the idea of a place to go to find a new experience, the inspiration to see the world in a different way, experiential storytelling about places near and far. Simply, if you’re trying to attract someone to your region, city or property, you’re likely going to talking about what there is to eat. However, the food media landscape is changing quickly, including much needed conversations about diversity, changes at legacy publications, and the flood of food-related newsletters. What does it mean to pitch food and drink in 2021 and beyond?

Takeaways:
-Learn from top editors and writers in food and drink about where coverage is heading post-pandemic
-Hear what stories work for their publications and how they’d like to be pitched
-Learn how to bring food and drink stories to life with diverse and intersectional perspectives
