A College President on Leading With Integrity and Clear Communication

Dr. Steven Johnson is well-known on campus for his candor and sense of humor. As the president and CEO of Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio, he must build and maintain trust with various stakeholders.
During Johnson’s 20-year tenure, the college has seen exceptional growth in student success rates, demonstrating his expertise in communication. Like customers of all businesses and organizations, Johnson’s audiences expect honesty and integrity from him and Sinclair.
In an interview with Johnson, I discussed his views on the significance of transparent and ethical communication.
