Build a Stronger Crisis Response Muscle

Think about the headlines from just three months ago. Many of the issues that dominated the news cycle then have already been replaced by new stories about geopolitical tensions and emerging technologies.
Today’s risk environment is changing faster than most crisis plans were originally designed to keep up with. New technologies can create entirely new reputational risks. Global events can quickly shift public perceptions. Online conversations can escalate in hours.
Many organizations already have strong crisis plans in place. But as the risk landscape evolves, those plans need to evolve with it. Crisis readiness needs to function more like a muscle. It is something organizations build, exercise and strengthen over time.
There are two ways organizations can do this. First, they can build repeatable systems that make it easier to keep crisis planning up to date. Second, they can regularly put those systems into practice so teams stay prepared.
