September 18, 2024 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Eastern Daylight Time)

Digital equity is a condition in which all individuals and communities have the information technology capacity needed for full participation in our society, democracy and economy. However, achieving digital equity will require more than just providing internet access – it also must include digital disability compliance and design compliance. Learn how to put together the pieces of the digital equity puzzle in this webinar co-hosted by the Public Affairs & Government Section and Technology Section.

Speakers include:

  • Joshua Edmonds, CEO of DigitalC. DigitalC is a Cleveland-based nonprofit dedicated to providing premier, state-of-the-art network that is affordable, reliable, and sustainable to bridge the digital divide. Joshua will talk about digital connectivity and its importance to building community.
  • Hannah Bourgeois, Content & ADA Compliance Lead, Conceptual Communications. Conceptual Communications is a marketing and public agency that offers an Americans with Disabilities (ADA) review to its clients to ensure campaigns and messaging are received without barriers. Hannah will discuss the importance of digital disability compliance.

He will share why design – from your website to your customer portal – is so key to accessibility.
