PRSA to Celebrate Prestigious 2025 Anvil Award Finalists at May 15 Gala
May 2025
PRSA will honor the finalists and announce the winners of the 2025 Silver and Bronze Anvil Awards during a special celebration on May 15 at the Edison Ballroom in New York City. Anvil Evening recognizes the very best in strategic communications and public relations.
This year’s competition drew an impressive 754 submissions across a wide range of categories, showcasing the profession’s ingenuity and commitment to excellence. After a rigorous peer-review process, 158 finalists were selected, representing some of the most impactful campaigns of the past year.
Among the recognized organizations are The Coca-Cola Company, Grubhub, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the University of San Diego, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and Ally Financial, alongside top agencies including Weber Shandwick, Golin, The Grossman Group, and Burson.
A judging panel of industry leaders — including C-suite executives, senior communicators, and academics — evaluated entries based on strategic execution, creativity, and measurable results.

Member Mondays Provide Actionable Takeaways on Current Events
PRSA and its Chair, Ray Day, APR, have continued to advance a key outreach initiative introduced earlier this year: Member Mondays. These monthly open forums are a meaningful platform for engagement, offering valuable opportunities for information sharing and professional connection.
Held on the second Monday of each month and open to both members and nonmembers, the sessions explore timely and relevant topics shaping the communications profession. Each conversation, hosted by Day, Stagwell vice chair and Allison Worldwide executive chair, features thoughtful insights, practical guidance, and compelling data from respected industry leaders — making Member Mondays a consistently informative and impactful experience for participants.
The fourth Monday of every month is for PRSA leaders (Chapters, Districts, and Sections), focusing on best practice sharing and progress on PRSA’s Strategic Plan.
Sessions this year have featured:
- January: Renowned trendspotter Marian Salzman discussed what’s ahead for 2025.
- February: John Gerzema, CEO of The Harris Poll, shared recent research, including a report titled “The DEI Pushback: How Politics Hides Reality.”
- March: Three top recruiters explored key job market trends and offered insights on the most in-demand skills and roles and strategies for standing out as a candidate.
- April: Research economist Joseph Von Nessen, Ph.D., outlined the economic landscape, the impact of tariffs, and how to navigate your business, budget, and financial planning.
