Building A Culture of Accountability

Building A Culture of Accountability. When it feels as though all the weight of the firm’s success resides on the shoulders of a few people, chances are the organization has not built an accountable culture. This doesn’t necessarily mean that employees are shirking their responsibilities or are unwilling to be accountable for their actions. It may be a case of failing to push accountability down into the organization and give people permission to take responsibility, make decisions and be held accountable.

In this workshop we will share best practices for creating accountability within small and midsized firms. We will explore a variety of tools and strategies that leaders can use to assess and push responsibility deep into their firm. Participants will learn how an Accountability Matrix can build internal controls while outlining who has responsibility and permission for different levels of day-to-day decisions. Finally, we will cover how an Accountability Matrix can be rolled out agency-wide so that there is understanding on where responsibilities and accountabilities exist.

One session participant will receive a consulting session to work on their firm’s accountability assessment.
