Kimberly Aldunate is an immigrant from Bolivia and a first-generation college student. She is a go-getter and has been described by employers as a “Swiss Army Knife’. She attends Florida International University studying Public Relations and Advertising with a concentration in Social Media and E-Marketing Analytics.

Aldunate has demonstrated her leadership by taking positions on a local, district and national level at PRSSA. She is serving her second term as vice president of career services for PRSSA National. Previously she has served as chapter president for FIU PRSSA, where she led her chapter to compete and win several awards including 2020 Star Chapter, 2020 Pacesetter Award , 2020 Aspire Higher Mentoring Program.  She served as the 2020-2021 Tri-State District Ambassador for PRSSA National assisting 10 chapters in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Aldunate was selected to join the 2020-2021 Diversity and Inclusion PRoud Council Committee for PRSSA National creating initiatives for 6,000 students. Previously, she served as the 2019-2020 Sunshine State District Ambassador for PRSSA National.

She has interned at various organizations including Spotify, United Way Miami Miami Super Bowl LIV Host Committee, Joe DiMaggio Children Hospital Foundation, and in entertainment and lifestyle public relations firms. She has experience in public relations, social media, influencer relations, partnerships, and events.

Aldunate is an award-winning student receiving the 2019 and 2020 Ev Clay PRSA Miami Scholarship, 2020 Betsy Plank PRSSA National Scholarship, and 2020 Top South Florida Intern.

She loves connecting with new people and is passionate about helping everyone win. Aldunate has a determined and persistent attitude. She looks up to self-made entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk, CEO and founder of VaynerMedia. The quote she lives by daily is “feel the fear and do it anyways.”

Aldunate is very involved in her South Florida community and regularly volunteers at various organizations. Aldunate aspires to work in the tech, media and music industry. In the future, she plans to start a public relations agency and a nonprofit.
