Vice President of Career Services

Kimberly Aldunate headshotUyen Ngo

Uyen Ngo is the 2025-2026 International Vice President of Career Services. Originally from Vietnam, she is a senior at Purdue University, majoring in Public Relations & Strategic Communications and Selling & Sales Management, with a certification in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Uyen has been deeply involved with PRSSA since her sophomore year. In her previous role as National Vice President of Belonging, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (BEDI), she worked to amplify diverse perspectives in the PR industry and fostered a more inclusive PRSSA community. Before joining the National Committee, she served on PRoud Council, a BEDI subcommittee that ensures all members feel heard, respected, and empowered in their PR journeys.

Beyond PRSSA, Uyen is the founder of "Heart. Community. Motivation," a nonprofit organization she launched in 2021 to uplift the Vietnamese communities through social impact initiatives. Her work has included donating 5,000 face masks to local hospitals during the pandemic and raising over $1,000 to improve education and healthcare access for children in rural northern Vietnam.

Throughout college, Uyen has pursued various professional experiences to explore career opportunities. She recently was a part of the production team for Life on the Wabash, Purdue’s first lifestyle show on NBC News and award-winning video program in the Indiana Association of School Broadcasters, where she applied communication skills in scriptwriting, guest interviewing, and video producing. Previously, she interned at Hemsworth Communications, where she worked on PR campaigns and social media strategies for travel and hospitality clients, including Hyatt Place in Florida. She also served as an Account Executive for Boiler Communication, PRSSA - Purdue’s award-winning student-run firm, gaining hands-on experience in client management.

As an international student herself, Uyen understands the challenges of navigating internships and career opportunities in the U.S. and beyond. In her role as International Vice President of Career Services, she is committed to helping PRSSA members find success in their careers nationally and globally. She believes PR is a versatile field, and she is dedicated to providing members with the guidelines to thrive in this evolving industry.
