Vice President of Events and Fundraising
Sydney Roberts
Sydney Roberts, the 2026–2027 PRSSA Vice President of Events and Fundraising, is a senior at DePaul University majoring in Public Relations and Advertising with a minor in Event Planning.
Sydney joined DePaul’s PRSSA Chapter in the fall of her freshman year and quickly became involved in Chapter programming and event leadership. During her first year, she served on the Hospitality Committee for the 2024 PRSSA Midwest District Conference, PRess Play. The following year, she was elected Vice President of Events and went on to serve as both a Coordinator and Director for the 2025 Midwest District Conference, Beyond the Skyline. Through these experiences, Sydney discovered her passion for creating engaging events that foster connection, collaboration, and professional growth.
She continued in her role as Vice President of Events during the 2025–2026 school year while also serving as a Coordinator and Director for the 2026 Midwest District Conference, PR-Palooza, where she oversaw the Sponsorship Committee. These leadership experiences strengthened her skills in event strategy, fundraising, relationship-building, and team collaboration.
In this new role as the Vice President of Events and Fundraising, Sydney is excited to support chapters in developing impactful events and fundraising initiatives that enhance member engagement and professional development. She is passionate about building meaningful relationships, encouraging involvement, and creating opportunities that empower students throughout their PRSSA journey. Through her experiences with PRSSA at both the Chapter and district levels, Sydney hopes to foster collaborative experiences that connect students across Chapters and leave a lasting impact on the PRSSA community.
Outside of PRSSA, Sydney enjoys exploring new workout classes, discovering coffee shops around Chicago, shopping at local businesses throughout the city, and spending time along the lakefront during the summer months
